Haleakala

Maui, Hawai'i, USA

The House built by the Sun is big enough to comfortably host several craters on top of the Haleakala mountain in Maui. The scene is amazing by itself, I didn’t even have to wait for sunrise to capture the intense red colors against the vast background of the Pacific Ocean.

The clouds on the left mark the start of the rainforest, one of the most rainy regions in the world, and one of the greenest. At the end of the rainforest rolling down that side of the mountain, the Road to Hana ends.

The view is spectacular up there.
