Truso Valley

Truso Valley, in the stunning country of Georgia is an incredible, almost abandoned, location in Kazbegi. Bordering with Russia in the North and the separatist region of South Ossetia in the south, Truso Valley was once a border post, defended by the Zakagori fortress.
Truso Valley is famous for its travertine formations and the serene, bucolic scenes.

I was lucky to have the clouds break right on top of this beautiful waterfall, inundating the valley with light. The big slab of orange travertine was just the perfect foreground.
