  • Masters of Photography

by Francesco Carucci January 20, 2019
When I chose to embark in the Photography’s journey, I was looking for beacons of light to give me directions traversing the unknown ocean of artistic expression.
These beacons are the Masters of Photography I encountered in my steps and took plenty of inspiration from to form the personal artistic vision that I express in my images.

  • Review: Sony a7R Mark III in the field

by Francesco Carucci January 02, 2019
Last summer, I rented the new Sony A7R III to bring with me to China for two weeks, that I used for this field review. I was invited by the Chinese government to shoot the city of Wuhan for the 40th anniversary of the Economic Reforms. I coupled the camera with the Sony FE Zoom 16-35 f/2.8 GM, the Sony FE Zoom 24-70mm f/2.8 GM and the 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS.

  • Review: Sony A99II

by Francesco Carucci January 02, 2019

The alpha mount is dead, long live the Alpha mount!

When Sony announced the A99II, the new Alpha flasgship camera, at Photokina 2016 in September, it sent a powerful message to the photographic world: the Alpha mount is here to stay.

Unfortunately that message is not anymore valid today.

  • Engineer to Artist

by Francesco Carucci January 02, 2019

  • Inspiration

by Francesco Carucci January 01, 2019

    I love water.

I was born by the sea and have very fond memories of me being little joining my grandfather on his ship when he was working out at sea in the south of Italy. I'm very much drawn to water whenever I want to take images I feel connected to, when I’m chasing the light, looking for Beauty and Grace.
