White Sands Monument Park, in New Mexico, is the largest desert of its kind in the world, made of gypsum sand and white dunes all the way up to the horizon, the glistering whiteness looks like snow, almost tricking your senses into believing you are in front of a winter scene.
Iceland is a wonderful land of ice and fire, a cold and windy paradise for landscape photography. I had the chance to visit the south of the island, eight years ago during a work trip.
Last summer I was visiting my friend Marco in Oulx, a beautiful village on the Italian alps, surrounded by stunning mountains: an inspiration for photography off the beaten paths.
In summer 2018, I was invited by the Chinese government for a photography project to shoot the city of Wuhan in China for the 40th anniversary of the economic reforms. I joined a group of young and talented photographers from the Bay Area, who later became known as the Wuhan Warriors.
When I chose to embark in the Photography’s journey, I was looking for beacons of light to give me directions traversing the unknown ocean of artistic expression. These beacons are the Masters of Photography I encountered in my steps and took plenty of inspiration from to form the personal artistic vision that I express in my images.
