I’m very excited to announce that I will embark in a new months long photography project to celebrate receiving my Master Degree in Photography from PPA in January 2025 in Dallas, TX.
Last week I ventured to one of my favorite photography spots in the Bay Area, Uvas Canyon, around Santa Cruz, with the goal of practicing with my new camera, the Hasselblad X2D 100c and the XCD 38mm lens, and shoot some material to use to hone my post processing skills.
Fotografia is the italian word for Photography. It’s been a tough couple of years, between the long lockdown due to COVID and various personal issues, I haven’t focused on photography almost at all.
Sandy Harbor on the northern shore of Lake Tahoe is an ideal location at this time of the year. While it’s packed with people enjoying the sunshine during spring and summer, it’s deserted in winter and offers some wonderful photographic opportunities.
The solitude just adds to the feeling the has accompanied me for the last year.
The second day at Imaging USA for me is always less packed than the first one. It might be some of the initial excitement wearing off, but I generally dedicate the second day more to networking, rather than jumping frantically from session to session.
Imaging USA is the longest-running photographic conference, trade show, and exhibit in the USA, drawing over 10,000 photographers each year, dating back to 1880.
This is my third edition, second time in Nashville, Tennessee. I can now be fully considered a seasoned veteran of the show.
